Network Administrator

Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware. Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues. Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected. Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks. Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users. Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems. Qualifications
Eight (8) or more years’ experience building and operating mission critical networks. Eight (8) or more years’ experience in network design, major routing protocols, topology design, network hardware, device configuration and traffic engineering. Eight (8) or more years’ hands-on experience with Dell network hardware and software. Three (3) more years’ implementing Spine/Leaf network topology. Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Seven (7) years of applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Preferred / Additional Knowledge Areas
Familiarity with Dell Supermassive firewalls is preferred. Familiarity with Cisco firewalls is preferred. Dell Certified Professional Certification with emphasis in Data Center Networking is preferred. Familiarity with Cloud technologies is preferred. Strong skills in strategic thinking, multi-tasking, time management, planning and executing to a defined schedule are preferred. Work Environment, Travel & Security
Location: Bethesda, MD Type of environment: Office Noise level: Low Work schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. Amount of Travel: Less than 10% Physical Demands
