TekSynap Responsibilities & Qualifications The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) was established as a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1962. The NICHD mission is to lead research and training to understand human development, improve reproductive health, enhance the lives of children and adolescents, and optimize abilities for all. Components of the NICHD have differing environments and needs. Operating environments include UNIX, Linux, Windows, and MAC. Similarly, software for system operation, management, and application support varies among divisions. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and execute CM throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security. Oversee the daily management of configuration items. Review migration plans. Review and update configuration management processes. Ensure that IT staff members follow CM processes. ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS PREFERRED: Familiarity with Dell Supermassive firewalls is preferred. Familiarity with Cisco firewalls is preferred. Dell Certified Professional Certification preferred with emphasis in Data Center Networking is preferred. Familiarity with Cloud technologies is preferred. Prefer strong skills in the following key areas including strategic thinking, multi-tasking, time management, planning and executing to a defined schedule. Prefer eight (8) or more years installation, administration and troubleshooting experience in endpoint management technologies. Specifically, with BigFix, SCCM, JAMF-Pro. Prefer eight (8) or more years’ experience in implementing integration solutions for endpoint management systems in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Prefer eight (8) or more years architecting, implementing, and supporting the implementation and testing of the endpoint management solutions, using a Service Oriented approach. Prefer eight (8) or more years’ experience designing, developing, and deploying complex solutions in multiple environments. Prefer eight (8) or more years’ experience and familiarity with Windows Server, Apple workstations, Active Directory, Group Policy/GPO, Vmware, and PowerShell. Prefer eight (8) or more years’ experience performing software distribution and upgrades. Prefer experience working directly with security teams to ensure all systems are up to date on patches and meet all security requirements. Prefer excellent time-management, quality control and organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and experience maintaining technical data and documentation. SCCM or similar certification preferred. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Eight (8) or more years’ experience preferred building and operating mission critical networks. Eight (8) or more years’ experience preferred in network design, major routing protocols, topology design, network hardware, device configuration and traffic engineering. Demonstrated ability to drive and manage technical projects to completion on schedule, budget, and within defined scope. Eight (8) or more years’ hands on experience preferred with Dell network hardware and software. Three (3) more years’ preferred implementing Spine/Leaf network topology. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience with configuration management tools. Experience managing complex IT projects.
