Senior Software Engineer to support a government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is a full-time position and requires a
TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance . Position Description
The Software Engineer shall be responsible for the development, enhancement, and sustainment of automation tools in support of system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and sustain automation tools for HPC system management in a Linux environment. Maintain security compliance and user management. Develop documentation for systems such as SSPs, CONOPS, user guides, and how-to manuals. Work with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as NetBox and with Observability/Analytics platforms such as Splunk. Support automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins). Utilize Git for source control and collaborate within an Agile environment. Position Required Skills
Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools; ability to write Bash scripts to automate processes. Recent software development experience using Python. Experience maintaining security compliance and user management. Familiar with DCIM tools such as NetBox. Familiar with Observability/Analytics platforms such as Splunk. Experience developing documentation (SSPs, CONOPS, user guides, how-to manuals). Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for deployment. Experience with CI/CD principles and tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins). Experience with Git source control. Position Desired Skills
Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence). Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies. Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline + 5 years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity; OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline + 7 years of SWE experience; OR 9 years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Acceptance Criteria
