Responsibilities

Month End Journal Entries and Accruals for Plants and Distribution Warehouse.

Cost rolls for new purchased products and existing products (including Annual Standard Revaluation).

Accuracy of all Costs – Raw, WIP and FG.

Review all Capital Projects and perform/validate Return on Investment Calculations.

Responsible for Annual Budget and Period Forecasts.

Maintain strong interface with Engineering and Materials to ensure Accurate Standard Costs and Perpetual Inventory Balances.

Active role to ensure all plant activities are properly reflected in monthly financial statements.

Support and document compliance and finance activities at the facilities as a Highly Visible Senior Staff Member.

Cycle Count Variance Root Cause Analysis and Quarterly Cycle Count Audits; heavy support to Materials Department.

Perpetual to GL reconciliations each quarter.

Physical Inventory Process and Analysis.

Participate in system enhancements and implementations as requested by management.

Ensure facility compliance with Internal Controls and provide related information as requested.

Continually assess processes and procedures for automated and manual inventory controls to optimize resources.

Material, Labor and Overhead Variance Analysis.

Periodic Review of Corporate and Plant Policies and Procedures and ensure proper execution in manufacturing and distribution facilities.

Communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.

Respond to local and corporate management with accurate and timely work.

Conform to safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent experience (preferred).

Three to five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Dynamics 365 experience, though not required, is a plus.

Analytical skills to understand, analyze, and communicate complex information.

Problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Oral communication skills to present clearly and persuasively in various situations.

Judgment skills with sound and timely decision-making.

Planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage tasks.

Requires long periods of sedentary work; repetitive upper movement (keyboard and monitor use); and occasional walking on level surfaces.

Hearing and visual acuity necessary; exposure to manufacturing areas with PPE requirements (safety glasses and hearing protection).

Occasional overnight travel up to 5% by land or air.
