$115,000.00-$120,000.00 Company:
Vintner’s Distributors is the corporate arm for Loop Neighborhood Market, based in Union City, CA, with stores and stations across California. The company was founded in 1978 and develops real estate and operates gas stations with convenience stores and car washes. Loop Neighborhood Market also has a wholesale division that delivers fuel to dealer locations in the market.
Responsibilities
Support and review the periodic general ledger close and financial reporting. Support month-end close and review process. Assist with Sales Tax, Quarterly Returns, and annual 1099s. Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries, compile close support schedules, generate financial reports, and perform various account reconciliations. Handle financial and government audits. Document and regularly update internal control procedures and key accounting operations. Support business partners in various accounting aspects. Communicate effectively with other functional departments to ensure accurate booking of expenses and revenue, and proper accrual for period and quarter close. Participate in special projects including US GAAP adoption, reconciliation of site subsidiary ledger to General Ledger, maintenance of fixed asset records, and data preparation for Operating Plan and Capex planning. Maintain a general understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 842; some retail inventory experience is desired. Identify and develop solutions for process improvement; undertake other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required. Strong command of US GAAP. 7+ years of accounting experience. Hardworking, proactive with a sense of urgency and hands-on approach. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred). Attention to detail, organized, and with integrity.
