The following describes a Vice President, Finance role focused on overseeing all Financial Planning and Analysis for the company. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with executive management, investors, lenders, and leadership. The role requires leading a growing FP&A team, driving budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and reporting to support growth and strategic initiatives. This role can operate out of the New York or Illinois offices in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and scale a high-performing team of 4+ employees and maintain key matrix relationships.

Influence strategic and financial direction through the planning cycle, decision support, and performance management.

Ensure financial and operational success through insightful business intelligence and analytics.

Act as a Finance Leader and partner to the CFO and Executive Team, contributing to board-level discussions and investor relations.

Partner with stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives, including future Finance technology implementations and process improvements.

Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Earnings Packages for investors, lenders, board, and management.

Present financial results and the story behind company performance to stakeholders.

Leverage reporting and visualization tools to communicate with leaders across the organization.

Develop in-year forecasting processes and maintain forecasting models to support decisions, revenue projections, and cash flow management.

Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, planning, and forecasting; provide insights to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability; collaborate with executives on budgets across divisions and practice lines.

Analyze financial trends and performance drivers to inform forecasting and executive decision-making.

Direct ad hoc analyses and executive-ready reporting to support strategic initiatives and board discussions.

Partner with People and Total Rewards on equity allocation and compensation planning.

Establish and monitor metrics (utilization, operating profit, project profitability, DSO, realization rates) to align with growth and margin goals.

Provide decision support for M&A activity, integration, and global expansion strategies.

Champion continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, reporting speed, and automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.

10+ years of finance experience, including senior leadership in FP&A within a global, complex organization.

Background in professional services, consulting, or project-based industries preferred.

Proven ability to partner with executives and present financial results to board members, investors, and lenders.

Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing FP&A teams.

Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and ERP/BI system skills (e.g., Power BI, D365).

A reasonable salary estimate for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. The offered salary range is based on factors including skillset, experience, location, and scope.
