Senior Equity Accounting Analyst (On-site) – San Juan Capistrisco, CA | Full-Time | $85K–$95K + Bonus Ensign Services, Inc., is seeking a high-performing Senior Equity Accounting Analyst who will play a critical role in managing and accounting for the company's equity-based compensation programs. Key Responsibilities
Prepare equity-related disclosures for 10-K, 10-Q, and proxy statements; review and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in the calculation and reconciliation of share-based compensation expense and related schedules. Calculate and record journal entries for stock options, RSAs, and other equity awards in accordance with ASC 718. Reconcile general ledger accounts related to equity compensation. Analyze trends in equity compensation and forecast expense impacts. Coordinate and prepare SEC filings under Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including Forms 3, 4, and 5. Prepare schedules and disclosures in compliance with SEC and internal reporting requirements; maintain supporting documentation. Administer equity plans, including processing of RSA and option grants, exercises, releases, cancellations, and terminations. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of all equity-related transactions, including maintenance of stock plan reserves. Maintain and audit custom reports in vendor platforms and Excel; perform complex reconciliations to ensure data accuracy. Collaborate with the Payroll team on equity transaction reporting, including tax withholding and adjustments for mobile employees. Help manage employee trading plans (10b5-1) and enforce blackout periods. Respond to inquiries from executives, employees, investors, internal and external auditors, and regulators regarding equity-related matters. Stay current on securities laws and new equity accounting standards; assess and communicate their impact. Support external audits, including interim reviews and year-end procedures. Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with SOX control requirements. Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses related to equity and compensation. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years minimum of blended public and private accounting experience Knowledge of GAAP financial statements and financial reporting CPA or CEP is a plus Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and internal/external partners. Proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Legal, Accounting, Payroll, HR) and external legal service providers to drive meaningful results Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency Willingness to take initiative and be accountable Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in a very open and transparent environment Why Ensign Services Inc.,?
