As a Customer Service Representative, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. You will also swiftly address any customer concerns, ensuring maximum satisfaction while staying informed about product features to maintain our high quality and visual standards. Your responsibilities will involve direct contact with customers and access to cash, personal information, store merchandise, and electronic equipment, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Consequently, a review of criminal history is necessary to safeguard our business and protect the well-being of customers and employees. The selected candidate will work at Store #5438, located at 1702 State Street, Schenectady NY 12304, and may also be required to work at other locations within a 30-mile radius. Your Key Responsibilities Include: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding sales service. Assisting customers both in-person and over the phone by determining needs and suggesting products and services. Building trusting relationships with our wholesale and retail customers. Processing sales transactions accurately in line with company policies. Meeting sales goals consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Maintaining organized work order files and formulas. Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as necessary. Mixing and tinting products to meet customer specifications. Restocking shelves and setting up attractive displays. Keeping store equipment clean and in good condition. Handling the loading and unloading of delivery trucks. Assisting with deliveries when required. Maintaining organized and presentable assigned areas. Staying knowledgeable about available products and options. Following inventory control procedures. Proposing methods to enhance sales. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be authorized to work legally in the country without sponsorship. A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is required. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. on occasion. Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends. If a current employee, must have at least a 'meets expectations' rating on your last performance review and completion of required eLearning courses. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service. Previous experience in selling paint or related products. Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment. Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus, particularly Spanish.
