Corporate Finance and Business Development professional passionate about building relationships and solving problems About the Role: We’re leading a search for an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations, deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, and support strategic planning. The ideal candidate is an operational problem-solver who can close the books, strengthen controls, and mentor a small team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Lead core accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and taxes with GAAP accuracy and strong internal controls. Own month-end close (calendar, JE review, reconciliations, variance analysis) and coordinate year-end financial statement audit. Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and insights. Reconcile bank accounts weekly and record necessary adjustments. Manage cash: prepare short-term cash forecasts, prioritize weekly payments, and monitor liquidity. Support treasury administration, including opening/maintaining bank accounts and user entitlements. Maintain complete and accurate lease accounting (ASC 842) records per contracts and GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate filings and payments for sales/use, real estate, and personal property taxes; manage related audits. Assess processes, recommend improvements, and drive implementation (policies, documentation, automation). Administer the general ledger/ERP (account setup, period close, issue resolution, user support). Partner with the Controller on technical accounting projects and one-off analyses. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and cross-functional projects as needs evolve. Develop, coach, and elevate accounting staff; promote a courteous, service-oriented culture. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with modern ERPs/financial systems. Strong working knowledge of AP, GL, lease accounting (ASC 842), and period-end close. Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. High integrity, professional communication (written and verbal), and a collaborative, team-first mindset. Comfortable operating with limited supervision in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Preferred Skills
