The firm specializes in middle-market advisory services, including M&A, capital raising, and strategic financial consulting. They pride themselves on delivering tailored, high-impact solutions to clients across a wide range of industries. Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vice President of Business Valuations to lead and expand its valuation practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a client-focused mindset. This role is pivotal in supporting transaction advisory, financial reporting, and strategic planning engagements.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage business valuation engagements for a variety of purposes, including M&A, financial reporting (ASC 805, ASC 350), tax, and litigation support.

Oversee the preparation of valuation models, including DCF, market multiples, and precedent transactions.

Review and synthesize financial statements, industry research, and economic data to support valuation conclusions.

Present findings and valuation reports to clients, attorneys, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with deal teams on transaction-related valuations and fairness opinions.

Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering technical growth and professional development.

Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client relationship management.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, with at least 3 years focused on business valuations.

Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and financial modeling techniques.

Experience with valuation for financial reporting, tax, or litigation is highly desirable.

Exceptional analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or credentials (ASA, CFA, CPA, ABV) preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Expected Compensation: Base: $135k - $175k Bonus: 10% - 30%
