VDC Manager
for a Construction General Contractor. This role is responsible for leading VDC strategy, developing and implementing Virtual Design and Construction strategies across all project phases, including design, construction, and facility management. Experience with
Data Center
Construction is preferred. Qualifications
8+ years in BIM/VDC roles, with expertise in software like Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to travel and work on active sites. Provide guidance and leadership for BIM (Building Information Modeling) implementation on projects. Experience maintaining close interaction with jobsites to ensure effective VDC execution. Experience with laser scan point clouds for Building Information Modeling and develop or assist in creating 4D schedules and construction simulations. Responsibilities
Manage VDC project setup and lead design/MEP coordination meetings and BIM sessions. Apply VDC processes and standards, update models with design changes, and perform quality control. Create and manage 2D/3D models, federate models from others, and coordinate site logistics phasing plans. Train project personnel and provide ongoing support for VDC adoption and execution. Track and report VDC metrics and contribute to process improvements. Participate in VDC strategic initiatives, focus groups, and speaking engagements. Support VDC integration during marketing, pursuit, preconstruction, and construction phases. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and support site safety programs.
