Overview

A major financial firm in central NJ has an immediate need for an experienced Telecom Procurement Manager. This is a W2 contract to hire, hybrid onsite position (3 days per week onsite). As the Telecom Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation, and management of the company's global telecommunications contracts. You will ensure best-in-class agreements that minimize risk, drive compliance, and optimize total cost of ownership. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, Finance, Legal, and regional business units, to align telecom procurement strategy with business needs and global procurement policies. Base pay range

Leading end-to-end procurement for telecom services (e.g., voice, data, mobility, conferencing, network services, cloud-based communications). Developing and executing negotiation strategies to secure favorable contract terms and service-level agreements. Ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with telecom vendors, contracts, and service delivery. Managing supplier relationships, monitoring vendor performance, and driving continuous improvement. Partnering with Finance to track telecom spend, develop cost models, and implement cost-control strategies. Collaborating with IT and business units to forecast demand, understand technical requirements, and support implementation. Maintaining market intelligence on telecom trends, emerging technologies, and vendor capabilities. Supporting global procurement initiatives and contribute to category strategy development. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred). A minimum of 5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in telecom or IT-related sourcing. Strong knowledge of telecom services, technologies, and vendor landscape. Strong contract negotiation skills with demonstrated success in reducing costs and mitigating risk. Familiarity with compliance, risk management, and regulatory issues in telecommunications. Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and cost-management skills. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities. Experience working in a global, matrixed organization preferred. We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
