Materials and Procurement Harley-Davidson is seeking a lead to manage Global Logistics, Warehousing & Trade sourcing, contracting, and procurement strategies. This role leads and supports all aspects of indirect procurement in these areas and requires collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve business objectives. Job Summary

This position will lead and support all aspects of Global Logistics, Warehousing & Trade sourcing, contracting, and procurement strategies. Job Responsibilities

Category Management & Leadership: Lead the development and execution of category plans and global sourcing strategies, leveraging industry trends, market insights, and spend analytics. Align procurement goals with business objectives and operational needs. Cost & Performance Management: Ensure cost-effective buying channels & strategies are in place for assigned spend categories. Develop and monitor KPIs and report on savings, efficiencies, and supplier performance. Risk Management: Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans. Ensure compliance with plant safety, quality, and applicable regulatory standards. Ensure carrier compliance with contractual obligations and applicable trade regulations. Sourcing & Contracting: Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including bid evaluation, supplier selection, and award recommendations. Negotiate complex contracts and statements of work (SOW) with legal and compliance collaboration to ensure adherence to company policies. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, lead business reviews with key suppliers to assess performance, service levels, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration: Build relationships with internal stakeholders to identify needs, resolve issues, and improve service levels. Facilitate cross-functional meetings and serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and logistics suppliers. Process Improvement: Own indirect procurement processes and implement best practices. Benchmark supplier performance and drive optimization, cost reduction, and service enhancement through supplier collaboration. Education & Experience

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field). MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of related experience. Experience sourcing and managing logistics services providers across multiple transportation modes (air, road, rail & ocean). Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts with carriers and freight forwarders. Track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities through mode optimization, supplier consolidation, and strategic negotiations. Exposure to a global supply base. Skills:

Works independently with guidance only on the most complex situations. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership. Additional Information
