A leading global biopharmaceutical company is seeking a
Associate Director of Automation Engineering
to lead a growing team responsible for control system hardware, instrumentation, and site automation support at a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This leadership role oversees automation project and portfolio management, supports daily site operations, and helps shape the future of advanced manufacturing for clinical trial and commercial medicines. You’ll be at the forefront of building a highly automated greenfield facility that integrates R&D and manufacturing under one roof. Base pay range
$165,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of automation and site support engineers Oversee control systems hardware, instrumentation, and compliance support Manage automation project portfolio, timelines, and budgets Support commissioning, qualification, and ongoing GMP operations Drive operational excellence, safety, and technical rigor Required Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering (or related field) 10+ years in biopharma engineering, operations, or manufacturing Experience in greenfield site development, automation design, commissioning, and qualification Strong understanding of SCADA, DCS, MES, and related systems Preferred Experience
Leadership in major capital projects and operational readiness Establishing site support structures and technical governance Experience managing cross-functional teams in a GMP environment This is a rare opportunity to influence the technical and cultural foundations of a flagship manufacturing site from the ground up.
