Overview
ATI is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Paralegal to join our Legal Department in Dallas, TX. This onsite position provides advanced support in managing asbestos and other litigated claims, insurance matters, discovery, and legal operations platforms. The Senior Paralegal will serve as the primary liaison with local counsel, insurers, and internal stakeholders on asbestos litigation matters, and will coordinate litigation, compliance, and technology initiatives across the Legal Department. Key Responsibilities
Independent Litigation Management & Claims Support: Manage intake and review of asbestos and other litigated claims; assign matters to outside counsel and serve as primary point of contact for local counsel (billing issues, corporate representative depositions, case strategy coordination); review and manage available insurance coverage for claims and report to insurers; receive and process service of complaints; coordinate with CT Corporation to update service lists; assist with discovery responses and document productions; maintain litigation tracking charts and claim databases; evaluate requests for settlement authority and support approvals process; oversee reporting obligations to Medicare including managing account updates and access to the CMS Mandatory Reporting portal. Insurance & Risk Management: Handle claim tendering to insurers; respond to insurer inquiries with ATI’s insurance broker; participate in monthly insurer status meetings; support environmental claims management; consolidate and review insurance reserve reports and support reserve meetings. Legal Holds & Research: Administer and manage legal hold processes, including training and compliance tracking; conduct research into corporate history and organizational records. Legal Operations & Technology Administration: Serve as system administrator and primary point of contact for document management and e-billing; coordinate with ATI Digital Technology Team, Accounting, Audit, and outside counsel on system and data issues. General Legal Support: Review engagement letters and onboard new counsel; support Legal Department with ad hoc projects and environmental insurance-related claims; provide M&A, Commercial and Compliance support as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred. 10+ years of paralegal experience with significant exposure to litigation, insurance, or corporate legal operations. Strong knowledge of litigation processes, insurance tendering, and discovery obligations. Experience with iManage, Legal Tracker, Exterro, Litera, and AuditBoard preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal stakeholders and outside counsel. High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism.
