The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly position and serves as a key holder for the store and as the manager on duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager or when demand requires. The Assistant Manager assists in managing the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The role ensures teammates deliver exceptional 5-star service and effectively communicate vehicle issues and solutions, while meeting guest expectations for time and quality. Responsibilities
Schedule guest appointments to optimize technician efficiency in completing vehicle services/repairs. Help achieve Monro’s sales goals by informing and recommending tire and service products and promotions. Attend to guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments. Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. Assist technicians in conveying repair and service needs to guests. Maintain store condition to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness. Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking. Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs. Organize store workflow to ensure efficient use of technician skills and timely completion of services/repairs according to Monro standards. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA safety standards. Perform Store Manager functions as needed by business requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. ASE certification and State Inspection License (where applicable) preferred. Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals. Problem-solving skills, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service abilities. Strong communication skills with teammates and guests. Completion of Monro required training within provided guidelines and timelines. Must possess a valid driver’s license, have a satisfactory MVR, and be able to operate customer vehicles for test drives (where applicable). Benefits
