Business Intelligence Analyst III

As part of the Business Intelligence team, this data professional will partner with business leaders across the organization to surface key metrics and unlock vital insights that drive data-informed decisions and guide business strategy. This is an individual capable of leveraging database technologies, mathematical savvy, and analytical tools to turn data into answers and insights. Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions) Responsibilities
Product & Initiative Leadership: Identify different options to solve for requested features or analyses and propose solutions considering trade-offs on cost, scalability, supportability, and usability. Reporting & Analytics: Conduct exploratory analysis needed to substantiate or frame analytics solutions for major business questions or product features. Analyze business questions and communicate findings through briefs, presentations, reports or other media. Develop complex deterministic models as well as probabilistic models to aid decision-making. Conduct impact analysis of business performance and break down performance based on internal and external factors, trends and patterns. Develop reports and dashboards for an entire problem space (e.g., website performance, lead conversion, studio portfolio analysis). Work with end-user applications using low-code tools to surface actionable analytics insights and collaborate with data engineers to create new datasets with requirements and use cases. Collaboration: Work with data engineers to create new datasets and jointly analyze data suitability; present findings to stakeholders; contribute to analytics and reporting standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, business administration, economics, or related field; MBA or experience in specific business functions is a plus. 4–6 years of experience in reporting and analysis with demonstrated ability to communicate findings to non-analytics stakeholders. Experience developing probabilistic prediction models or analyzing complex questions using advanced methodologies; applied statistical analysis with ability to explain the approach. Intermediate proficiency in SQL (analytic functions) and on-the-job experience with Python, R, or similar languages. Skills & Abilities
Ability to explain common biases that affect question framing, data selection, and interpretation of results. Ability to contrast meaningful versus poor metrics or KPIs; well-organized with a proactive work approach; strong interpersonal skills. Respectfully challenge others’ approaches when inferences from data are not sound; curiosity about the industry and ability to articulate Purpose Brands’ goals and strategic imperatives.
