Represent clients in construction and construction defect claims, managing cases from inception through trial or settlement Provide risk management advice and strategic legal guidance throughout construction projects Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with precision and clarity Conduct complex legal research and analysis on construction and construction defect matters Collaborate with experts, consultants, and other professionals to develop strong case strategies Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings Mentor and support junior attorneys in research, case preparation, and trial strategy Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the Texas Bar, in good standing 2+ years of litigation experience; prior construction or construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal skills Benefits
Two remote workdays each week, except for Fridays Monthly lunch group and happy hour events; quarterly firm lunches Direct deposit pay on the 15th and last day of the month Participation in the firm Bonus Program for Associates, bonuses four times a year based on hours worked Firm pays all bar dues and occupation tax for attorneys 15 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) per year 401K retirement/investment plan with employer matching after 30 days Comprehensive group health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) with dental and vision; optional HSA $30K life insurance policy at no cost to each employee Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
