Overview

Lead trade compliance advisory efforts as part of Mohawk Global Trade Advisory team. The Senior Managing Trade Consultant provides trade compliance expertise and project leadership for clients’ import and export programs, and supervises a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services. Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Please note that the salary range referenced is a general guideline only. Salary differentials are based on multiple factors including geographic location, education/training, years of relevant experience/seniority, merit, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Mohawk Global considers all of these variables when extending an offer of employment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of international trade professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development. Client Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their trade needs and providing strategic guidance on compliance and optimization. Project Oversight: Lead, support, and coordinate projects such as HTS classification, compliance assessments, prior disclosures, AD/CVD, PGA support, and duty minimization initiatives. Hands-On Support: Participate in project execution with expertise in compliance strategies, regulatory initiatives, questions, and operational efficiencies. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all trade and customs activities comply with applicable laws and regulations; stay current with changes in trade policies and procedures. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze trade data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings; prepare reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies that enhance service offerings and market position. Perform other related duties as assigned; adhere to established policies and procedures. Education and Experience

US Customs Broker License required Minimum of 15 years of practical experience in import and export customs compliance Other related industry certification(s) or license(s) preferred (CCS, CES, CUSECO) but not required Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Expert knowledge of US Customs regulations and compliance procedures Knowledge of Export Compliance Regulations (EAR) and ITAR Knowledge of PGA regulations related to import compliance Knowledge of CTPAT program and supply chain security procedures Working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) and Schedule B classifications Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills Process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) Highly organized; able to lead a team and work as an individual contributor on projects Professional interaction with clients on behalf of MGTA/MG Equal Employment Opportunity
