Vice President, Finance

Christian Dior Couture . The Vice President, Finance plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial health and improving efficiency by leading four key functions: Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Performance, Internal Control, and Procurement. Reporting to the SVP Finance and Operations, the VP Finance is responsible for driving financial performance and resource optimization across the organization. A core focus of the role is to ensure rigorous cost control, effective budget management, and financial accountability at all levels. By delivering actionable insights, enforcing strong internal controls, and implementing procurement strategies that maximize value, the VP Finance enables data-driven decision-making and contributes directly to the company’s profitability and sustainable growth. Perimeter : Americas — US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and St Barth2; inclusive of approx. 1500 employees and over 60 stores.
Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) : Lead the financial planning cycle, including budget, forecast, strategic plans, and monthly outlooks.
Develop robust financial models to support scenario planning, business cases, and investment decisions.
Analyze key variances versus budget and prior year; identify risks and opportunities with clear recommendations.
Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance, margin improvement, and ROI across key initiatives.
Produce monthly reporting packages for senior leadership and Group Finance, with clear narrative and insights.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial KPIs and dashboards across the organization.
Business Performance : Design and lead performance management processes and tools to measure and drive profitability, productivity, and efficiency across channels (retail, wholesale and ecommerce).
Deliver ad hoc business analysis to support strategic decisions (e.g., store openings, assortment mix, pricing strategies, channel profitability).
Provide deep insights into commercial performance (sales trends, margin structure, customer behavior) in partnership with Retail and Merchandising teams.
Develop and monitor performance scorecards at store, region and country level, ensuring alignment with Dior’s strategic priorities.
Internal Control : Strengthen and maintain a strong internal control environment in line with Group standards and audit requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments and lead action plans to address control gaps across all functions.
Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Define and deploy policies and procedures to ensure compliance, operational integrity, and fraud prevention.
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all teams.
Procurement : Lead procurement strategy and governance across categories, ensuring alignment with business needs and sustainability objectives.
Optimize supplier base and negotiation processes to drive cost savings, quality, and service improvements.
Implement procurement best practices, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and transparency.
Support key sourcing projects, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and risk management.
Collaborate closely with legal, operations, and functional leaders to ensure seamless and compliant procurement processes.
Profile / Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within a multinational luxury or retail environment.
Proven expertise in FP&A, business performance, internal controls, and procurement.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and an ability to connect financial insights to operational and strategic outcomes.
Deep knowledge of financial processes, compliance frameworks, and performance management tools.
Collaborative and persuasive leader with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $220,000 - $260,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility.
