The Senior Analyst, Capital Planning & Analysis - US Risk Based Capital supports risk-based capital production, modeling, analytics, and forecasting to optimize the company’s capital, dividends and financial strength. The person in this role will work closely with other members of the Capital Planning & Analysis team, Corporate Actuarial, Investments, Accounting, Treasury, Reinsurance and Rating Agency Relations teams. The Senior Analyst will report to the AVP, Capital Planning & Analysis - Domestic. Who You'll Work With As a highly collaborative team, we serve as effective partners and balance sheet stewards providing the financial leadership to deliver on Corebridge’s strategic objectives. As a member of the Finance team, you will: Act as an effective and trusted business partner Provide actionable insights and analysis, influencing business partners and accelerating decision-making Be a prudent and efficient allocator of capital Optimize return on capital by balancing balance sheet strength, investment in growth and shareholder returns Focus on process improvement Build an efficient operating model to maximize time spent on value-adding activities Re-engineer and streamline end-to-end processes and controls, eliminating manual and redundant work About The Role The Senior Analyst, Capital Planning & Analysis - US Risk Based Capital supports risk-based capital production, modeling, analytics, and forecasting to optimize the company’s capital, dividends and financial strength. The person in this role will work closely with other members of the Capital Planning & Analysis team, Corporate Actuarial, Investments, Accounting, Treasury, Reinsurance and Rating Agency Relations teams. Responsibilities
Calculation of U.S. insurance company risk-based capital calculations for statutory reporting Implement and execute change management of new tools, templates, and technology designed to improve how the organization plans and manages capital Participate and execute technical analyses and projects with other personnel from the Capital Planning & Analysis, Financial Strategy, FP&A, Treasury, Actuarial, Investments and Enterprise Risk Management teams Maintain appropriate control framework, including model governance processes and best practices Participate in internal discussions with the Actuarial and Legal, Compliance and Regulatory teams on regulatory and industry dialogue on capital matters Assisting with forecasts of U.S. insurance company risk-based capital calculations to support effective and efficient business decision making Skills & Experience
Experience in financial industry required; actuarial, risk management and / or treasury experience in or for the insurance industry preferred; experience with risk-based capital frameworks a plus A degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ASA) or progress towards such certification is a plus Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of financial and insurance risk modeling Must be responsive to leadership requests and comfortable performing effectively in a fast-paced environment Support effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders and demonstrate strong collaboration skills Ability to identify the right question to solve problems Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Able to work and effectively present to senior members of the finance team Aptitude in problem-solving Advanced Microsoft Office skills Coding Experience (Python, SQL, C+, etc.) Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,000 - $100,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will depend on multiple factors, which may include geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package. Work Location If the position is based in one of Corebridge Financial’s hub offices (Houston, TX; Jersey City, NJ; or Woodland Hills, CA), the role is subject to our hybrid working policy, which provides both office and remote work options.
