The Enterprise Employee Services Division of King County Metro is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner. Metro Human Resources Business Partners are committed to creating a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment. Our mission is to center employee experience by partnering with agency leaders and workgroups to improve people practices and policies that impact employees. Job Duties : Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees for all HR matters. Coach and support managers to address employee issues and develop employee-centered programs. Partner with division leadership to align talent strategy with strategic business goals. Assess divisional needs and collaborate with partners to drive HR solutions. Support managers on key employee relations issues. Review internal programs, policies, and practices for compliance with employment laws and regulations. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills : We are looking for candidates with 5 years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience in a union environment. Practical knowledge of Human Resources competencies, policy and contract interpretation, and local, state, and federal employment laws. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently. Ability to be a self-advocate and self-starter, with a strong sense of self and a commitment to continuous learning. Desired Qualifications : Experience working in a King County or other public sector human resources environment, and certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or IPMA-HR.
