Minimum of 15 years of progressive, comprehensive experience in facilities management services, preferably in a higher education environment. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, business administration, architecture, related field, or the equivalent as measured by 15+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrated background in fiscal management including estimating and understanding of theories, practices and policies used in finance and business, and development and administration of operating and project budgets. Demonstrated organizational, personnel, and managerial experiences including being an effective role model and supporter of programs that promote/maintain employee culture and belonging. Responsibilities
Leadership: fosters collaboration among College constituencies; leads facilities staff to provide well-maintained environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors; ensures consistent, well-executed services. Leads strategic efforts in process improvement, service level agreements, stakeholder communication, and operational efficiency; conducts regular assessments. Plans, organizes, and controls maintenance and repair of College facilities and systems; sets goals and standards; monitors performance with qualitative and quantitative data. Staff and Fiscal Management: managerial oversight of ~350 staff; supervises Senior Director of Grounds and Fleet Management, Director of Residential Operations, Director of Custodial Services, Director of Maintenance Services, and Assistant Director for Project Transition; manages labor relations, diversity, hiring, performance evaluations, rewards; collaborates with Campus Services and HR. Culture and Employee Belonging: promote a welcoming, inclusive department; support diversity and inclusion through actions, training, and leadership. Benefits
