Associate Director of the Davis Humanities Institute (ACAD PRG MGT OFCR 3) at the University of California, Davis. The Associate Director (A.D.) oversees the Davis Humanities Institute (DHI) in collaboration with a dean-appointed faculty director. The A.D. is responsible for administrative operations and financial oversight, as well as supervision and guidance of staff within the DHI. Collaboratively the A.D. and the faculty director establish the Institute’s agenda and objectives, develop and implement programs, and represent the DHI on campus and to outside organizations. Responsibilities

40% - DHI Planning and Budget Management 35% - Research Administration, Development, Grant Funding 15% - Outreach, Relations, and Networking 10% - Office Management and Supervision of Staff Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative, budgetary and financial management in an institution of higher education Minimum 1 year of experience supervising in a research and/or academic setting Minimum 1 year of experience using online financial, research administration, and personnel systems. Minimum 1 year of experience in using standard office software to include email, word, and excel programs. No minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in humanities, arts or related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Advanced knowledge of administrative, budgetary, and financial principles and practices. Knowledge of effective grant writing techniques and skills. Success at identifying grant opportunities, developing proposals and administering grants. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate and problem solve with diverse stakeholders. Advanced oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated experience supervising staff and students in an academic or research setting. Demonstrated knowledge of program development. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills. Knowledge of donor and endowment opportunities. Position Information

Salary or Pay Range: $85,500/yr. - $157,300/yr.
