The Enterprise AI/ML organization provides the platform, tools, and infrastructure to deliver impactful ML models and AI experiences. You will contribute to shaping the platforms and tools used by thousands of engineers, data scientists and analysts to make decisions, manage risk, detect fraud, and deliver intelligent customer experiences. In this role, you will build partnerships with leading AI tool vendors and integrate their capabilities into Capital One platforms for associates. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI technology and empathizes with engineers and data scientists, staying informed about modern data and modeling tools and the problems they solve. They are comfortable engaging with software engineering and data science teams as well as non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders. Product Managers create value through human-centered design, deep business understanding, technological innovation, and boundaryless leadership to accelerate technology and improve customer experiences at Capital One. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cultivate a thorough understanding of the problem space and key audiences related to Generative AI at Capital One, working with customers and partners in product, tech, architecture and risk to inform strategy, prioritization and requirements Develop and communicate a compelling vision through presentations, documents and demos of your product's developer experience, tailoring approaches to audiences from technical users to internal and customer leadership teams Make difficult trade-off and prioritization decisions by working backwards from customer needs and quantifying the value or strategic benefits Build and maintain partnerships with peers, customers and stakeholders to enable collaboration towards shared goals, leveraging influence to improve the enterprise ecosystem Invest in support, training and documentation to enable self-service adoption for customers and effective contribution models with partners Manage day-to-day execution across several tech teams, influencing roadmaps to deliver results for target users Collect and analyze data to track progress, quantify impact and inform decisions Capital One Product Framework In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which form the foundation for successful Product management: Human Centered – Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions Business Focused – Delivers outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence Technology Driven – Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions Integrated Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks Transformational Leadership – Leads cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment Basic Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the degree will be obtained on or before the start date: A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration Preferred Qualifications: Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing AI products 2+ years of experience in innovative technology environments that embrace public cloud and open source technologies 2+ years of experience building business-critical AI and Machine Learning products Familiarity with latest AI/ML technologies such as Generative AI, Multi-agent systems, AI Safety, AIOps, AI Observability and Governance Experience with vendor evaluations and selection Note: Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position at this time. The salary ranges listed are for candidate locations and reflect the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated by hours. Examples include: Cambridge, MA: $158,400 - $180,800; Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400; McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800; New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200; San Francisco, CA: $172,800 - $197,200. Candidates hired elsewhere will receive the pay range for that location. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
