Overview

Capital One Product Management team seeks to empower AI/ML innovation and deliver customer experiences through technology. The Enterprise AI/ML organization provides the platform, tools, and infrastructure to deliver machine learning models and AI experiences that support decisions, risk management, fraud detection, and personalized customer experiences. In this role, you will build partnerships with vendors of AI tools, guiding capabilities from idea to enterprise-scale platform by understanding business and user needs, evaluating third-party products, completing due diligence, onboarding, and integrating vendors into platform experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI technology, understands engineers and data scientists, and can communicate with software engineering teams, data scientists, non-technical stakeholders, and senior leaders. Product management is applied with human-centered design, deep business understanding, and leadership to accelerate technology innovation and customer experiences at Capital One. Note:

Responsibilities

Cultivate a thorough understanding of the problem space and audiences related to Generative AI at Capital One, working with customers and partner teams to inform strategy, prioritization, and requirements definition Develop and communicate a compelling product vision through presentations, documents, and demos of the developer experience for diverse audiences Make trade-off and prioritization decisions by grounding recommendations in customer needs and quantified value Build and maintain partnerships with peers, customers, and stakeholders to enable collaboration across the enterprise ecosystem Invest in support, training, and documentation to enable self-service adoption and effective contribution models with partners Manage day-to-day execution across multiple tech teams, influencing roadmaps to deliver results for target users Collect and analyze data to track progress, quantify impact, and inform decisions

Basic Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in Product Management Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with the expectation the degree is obtained by the start date:

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field Master’s Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience translating business strategy into consumer-facing AI products 2+ years in environments with public cloud and open source technologies 2+ years building AI/ML products Familiarity with Generative AI, multi-agent systems, AI safety, AIOps, AI Observability and Governance Experience with vendor evaluations and selection
