Overview
The Teen Coordinator will assist in planning and implementing the Model Legislature and Court and Model United Nations programs and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include building relationships with youth and teens; collaborating with community partners, such as local schools and area organizations that share a similar interest in helping teens reach their full potential, to promote teen development initiatives. Salary
SALARY RANGE:
$26.00 - $30.00/Hour Essential Functions
With the assistance of the Director, this position will direct and oversee, Model United Nations, Model Legislature and Court, and various other programming Develop and implement innovative approaches to promote and increase teen program participation and retention. Lead and administer Youth and Government programs. Attend all conferences and meetings Create positive, lasting memories for all teen program participants, staff and volunteers. Participates in staff meetings and/or related meetings. Attend meetings, online webinars, and trainings. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Demands
Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation; Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills; Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull; Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds. Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with teens Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with individuals at all employee levels is required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task is required. Must be able to work a varied schedule, with frequent evening and weekend work Bilingual (Spanish) a plus YMCA Competencies (Team Leader)
