Assistant Project Manager – Ground-Up Multifamily Development
Macdonald & Company is proud to partner exclusively with a nationally recognized real estate developer specializing in ground-up multifamily developments across major U.S. cities. As part of its continued growth in South Florida, the company is seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of large-scale multifamily projects throughout Miami and the surrounding area.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager and Director of Construction, the Assistant Project Manager will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day coordination and execution of multiple active development sites. This role offers hands-on exposure to all phases of construction, working closely with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Responsibilities
Assist in managing all phases of project development from pre-construction through closeout
Help coordinate project schedules, track progress, and support timely delivery
Support budgeting, cost tracking, and vendor invoicing processes
Aid in managing subcontractor communications and field coordination
Prepare meeting agendas, track action items, and maintain accurate project documentation
Participate in site visits, safety inspections, and quality control efforts
Facilitate procurement of materials, permits, and regulatory approvals
Communicate regularly with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects aligned and on track
What You’ll Bring
1–3 years of experience working on structural concrete, ground-up multifamily projects
Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset
Familiarity with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
Authorized to work in the U.S.; valid driver’s license required
English fluency required; Spanish language skills are a plus
