Overview Are you passionate about driving project success and continuous improvement? As a Sr Project Management Specialist, you will guide a team that conducts Health Checks, gate reviews, and project investigations across the GDS, GTM, LP, and Power Business Units. You will partner with Project Development, Project Execution, and key BU partners to identify and resolve challenges in project management, engineering, construction, risk, and project controls. You will help optimize processes, support issue resolution, and foster collaboration for outstanding project outcomes.
What You Will Do
Conduct health check assessments on projects identified by Project Assurance and Project Leadership on a planned and proactive basis, including projects that may not meet defined business objectives.
Serve as document SME reviewer at project stage gate challenges and perform investigations as needed to ensure project outcomes and promote lessons learned within the Projects Organization.
Lead project assessments with a multidisciplinary team through Health Checks for Major and Core projects.
Conduct interviews with project teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities, non-conformances, and risks, and capture findings.
Evaluate findings to develop Corrective and/or Preventative Action items (CAPAs) and track CAPA closure.
Collaborate to assign CAPAs and develop High Value Learning Events (HVLEs) for the Projects Organization.
Prepare Health Check reports, review with the project team, and track QER closure.
Develop and deliver presentations of CAPAs and findings to project leadership and the Projects Organization.
Identify and capture systemic issues as Priority Lessons Learned.
Assist in resolving project risks and issues impacting project success.
Prepare monthly Project Assurance reporting for the Projects Extended Management Team.
Verify fit-for-purpose implementation of governance, procedures, processes, and standards.
Lead PMO and PLGC standard and process revisions to improve project compliance, safety, engineering, and execution, while reducing cost and schedule risks.
Continuously review PMO procedures to align with organizational goals.
Develop and oversee internal groups and 3rd party contractors for special initiatives and investigations.
Support and implement Enbridge strategic plans and key PMO initiatives.
Communicate experiences, lessons learned, best practices, and expertise across the Projects Organization.
Who You Are
Engineering degree, equivalent formal technical education, or 10 years of project management and construction experience.
Minimum 10 years of Project Manager experience in the pipeline industry, with knowledge of pipeline and facilities project management, engineering, construction, and project controls.
Strong communicator with analytical and critical thinking skills; able to build relationships and identify issues using interpersonal skills.
Effective conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities.
Ability to predict obstacles and develop mitigation strategies and innovative solutions.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet schedules.
Familiar with industry codes, regulations, standards and specifications in Canada and the US.
Collaborative, motivated, positive work ethic, capable of working in a multidisciplinary team.
Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle.
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) designation.
Familiar with Root Cause Analysis techniques and software (DNV SCAT or TAPROOT).
Experience with capital project risk, financial, and administrative practices.
Experience with quality management processes and systems.
Broad exposure to oil, gas, and power related projects.
PMP Certification.
Working Conditions
Primarily an office environment with business trips across North America as needed. Occasional trips to stakeholder offices or the field may require PPE.
Fast-paced environment with challenging schedules and high-impact results.
Occasional overtime to meet project assessment schedules.
Enbridge offers FlexWork (Hybrid) options where eligible, with flexible start/end times, compressed work weeks, and remote days as applicable.
Physical Requirements Includes grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 45 pounds), reaching, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements.
