supports the Store Manager in hiring, developing and leading store associates while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and maintaining brand standards. Assistant Managers, as part of their development, support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present. Key Responsibilities
Brand (30%) : Supervises and supports the direction and planning of associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales and KPIs, and drive customer loyalty in assigned stores. Emphasizes in-store selling and Omni-channel strategies. Ensures brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.). Acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns. Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands. People (30%) : Engages, trains and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits using internal platforms and builds a network of external candidates when needed. Identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate and addresses them through coaching or counseling. Maintains positive associate relations, resolves concerns, and informs associates of relevant company information. Builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintains timely communication with AM/DM. Fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging. Operations (30%) : Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies and Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manages inventory ordering and shipment processing; oversees payroll hours and scheduling; ensures opening and closing procedures are performed correctly. Follows company directives and projects in a timely manner. Safety/Loss Prevention (10%) : Maintains a safe store environment for associates and customers; follows and enforces all policies. Protects company assets by managing inventory and cash-control procedures related to shrink, damages, and banking. Analyzes reporting tools and ensures compliance with HAZMAT training and execution. High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives Effective communication with team and management Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business Cosmetology license desirable, but not required Competencies
