Set on a 34-acre campus in Commack, NY, the Gurwin Healthcare System includes the 460-bed Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care, memory care, respiratory and ventilator care, social and medical adult day programs and on-site dialysis. Sharing the campus is Gurwin’s Assisted Living community (Gurwin Jewish : Fay J. Lindner Residences), our independent living community (Fountaingate Gardens) and our Certified Home Health and Licensed Home Care Agencies.
We are currently seeking a
Community Sales Manager
who will be responsible for understanding the needs of prospective residents and their families by conducting tours and guiding them through the decision-making process of choosing an assisted living community. You will serve as a key representative of our community's values of compassion, care, and quality service. Sales experience within an assisted living community preferred. You will receive an hourly pay rate of $30.76 plus commission.
This is a temporary position but has the potential for becoming permanent employment within the Gurwin Healthcare System. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond promptly and positively to in-person walk-ins, marketing line calls, and online inquiries from prospective residents and their families via the UP system. Qualify leads by understanding their needs and matching them with the appropriate services offered by the community along with their financial standing. Maintain a database of prospective residents and ensure timely follow-up on all leads with all calls being made through Welcome Home. Conduct tours of the community, highlighting the features, benefits, and unique aspects we offer. Provide detailed information about available floor plans, services, amenities, pricing, and care options to prospective residents and their families. Address any questions or concerns to help prospective residents make informed decisions. Schedule assessments, guide residents through the move in process. Responsible for completing move in paperwork for your personal sales to comply with DOH standards. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance, and support throughout the sales process. Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective residents, their families, and referral sources. Develop and maintain strong relationships with social workers, case managers, discharge planners, senior advisors, retirement and estate planners, realtors, senior organizations, health care providers, special interest groups, local civic organizations and other outside professional resources via community outreach to generate referrals. Organize and plan monthly professional networking events to generate referrals and strengthen relationships with outside resources. Meet with the residents and their families to encourage them to share their positive experience living at Gurwin, to promote Fay J. Lindner, and to obtain referrals for them to take advantage of the Resident Referral Program. Work closely with the Director of Sales to recommend effective sales strategies and campaigns. Collaborate with the care and administrative teams to ensure a seamless transition for new residents. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process. Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospective residents and professional referral sources using the community’s CRM system - Welcome Home. Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Director of Sales including competitive analysis. Identify industry trends and areas for improvement. Gather information regarding residents who have been hospitalized or are out on pass and create and electronically distribute a midnight census report. Observe any repairs/cleaning needed in the community and report to the Engineering Department. Flexibility to visit off-site professional resources for community events and outreach activities. Performs other duties as required that may be assigned by the Director of Sales. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
