Director of Enrollment Management Communications – Office of Enrollment Management – UTK. This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote schedule flexibility. Responsibilities

The Director of Enrollment Management Communications (EMC) is responsible for the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive communication and marketing plan across the enrollment life cycle that supports university goals of recruitment, retention and graduation. Key duties include: Lead the design, development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive plan across digital, print, web, video, and other platforms. Drive a broad communications strategy beyond the Division of Enrollment Management and act as the chief liaison with the Office of Communications and Marketing, college communicators, Student Life and Student Success. Develop a strategic plan focused on prospective student recruitment (lead generation, funnel management), admissions, enrollment, financial aid and scholarships, financial wellness, One Stop, and the University Registrar. Coordinate with campus partners to align messaging and initiatives, and advise operational practices to deliver enrollment strategies consistently across mediums. Represent Enrollment Management in communications strategy and execution with campus partners (Communications & Marketing, Alumni & Advancement, Student Life, Student Success, and academic colleges). Oversee web, press, print, social, video, and digital channels for the Division and provide guidance to campus partners on communication and marketing strategy. Approve and oversee EM communication flows through division and campus enterprise systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, Salesforce, Touchnet). Manage a communications team to support objectives and help transform recruitment and student services through data-driven, personalized experiences. Contribute to the execution of the undergraduate strategic enrollment plan by building data-driven strategies and leveraging relevant technology. Oversee fulfillment team coordinating distribution of printed collateral, direct mail, promotional products, and EM division inventory. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree; a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience, including at least three (3) years in communications, marketing, or public relations. Experience in higher education or a related field where a comprehensive communication plan contributed to organizational goals. Demonstrated experience in relationship building, personnel management, and data-driven decision making; a suitable combination of education and experience may substitute minimum qualifications. Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s Degree. Experience with communication practices in higher education related to enrollment and admissions; knowledge of admissions policies and procedures. Experience using enterprise databases, web-based content management systems, and supervision experience; data analysis experience in enrollment contexts. Experience in areas such as admissions, financial aid, recruitment, marketing, development, or alumni relations within higher education. Familiarity with guidelines pertaining to higher education and admissions policies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Adaptable, strategic, analytical, creative problem solver, and organized self-starter who can think unconventionally. Knowledge of enrollment management operations (undergraduate recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registrar, and enrollment cycle). Ability to deliver polished results and to communicate clearly with diverse audiences. Knowledge of admissions recruitment models and services, marketing and branding. Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills; ability to adapt to new technology trends and meet deadlines; collaborative work style. Ability to provide proactive solutions to complex marketing and recruitment challenges. Benefits
