The pay range is $60,000.00 - $120,000.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary by position, including labor markets and may include education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The job of General Merchandise and Food Sales teams is to lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team leads inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. As a General Merchandise & Food Sales Executive Team Leader The role can provide you with the skills and experience of: Guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest-first culture on your team Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, freshness and quality, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies Setting and planning department monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals Knowledge of the competition; leveraging insights to drive business objectives Managing team leaders and creating business-specific strategies and goals Recruiting, selecting and talent management of hourly team members and leaders Typical responsibilities Build and manage a team that executes tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for all areas of the store. Drive total store sales and contribute to total store profitability. Model a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests as you work. Engage with guests to assist with needs and resolve issues in a welcoming manner. Lead by thanking guests and acknowledging their shopping choice. Plan, manage, assess and validate best practices to determine operational opportunities. Manage Food & Beverage business, food services (if applicable), and alcohol sales. Enable efficient delivery by leading pick, pack and ship fulfillment work (if applicable) to meet guest promises. Develop workload plans to stay guest-ready and meet scheduled workloads. Conduct regular check-ins with your team to guide task completion and workload. Create scheduling plans based on monthly and weekly business needs and guest traffic. Oversee GM backroom and sales floor areas; review reporting to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve. Drive food safety culture; train and coach to meet food safety standards and cleaning routines. Lead an efficient operation to support the sales culture. Lead understanding of how procedures like merchandise set-up and stock levels impact shortage, profitability, replenishment, inventory accuracy and pricing compliance. Prioritize and conduct regular check-ins with your team to manage tasks and resources. Develop onboarding, training, coaching, and skill development for the team. Know and assess the competition; use guest insights to drive business and be the destination of choice. Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs (early morning, evening, overnight, weekends). Maintain a consistent guest experience with stocked, fresh, safe, accurately priced merchandise. Assess GM and Food & Beverage backrooms and sales floors to identify priorities and resolve gaps. Ahead of time staffing and recruitment planning needs. Establish a culture of accountability with clear expectations and performance management. Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct; foster a respectful and compliant work environment. Develop and lead safety culture and performance; respond to incidents and report injuries. Lead store security and protect merchandise; implement safety and security training and processes. Address store emergency and compliance needs; perform other duties as required.
