Fire Life Safety Director - Education Facility - Lincoln Center
Allied Universal is hiring a Fire Life Safety Director to oversee an Education Facility located in Lincoln Center, Manhattan. The primary mission is to protect life and property through the building's fire safety plan and the management of the Fire Command Station, supervision of the fire brigade, floor wardens, deputy floor wardens, and building evacuation supervisors. The role requires acting as a liaison to the NYC Fire Department during emergencies.
Responsibilities
Oversee the Fire Life Safety Program and Fire Command Station for the education facility.
Supervise Fire Brigade, Floor Wardens, Deputy Floor Wardens, and Building Evacuation Supervisors.
Conduct and document fire alarm drills; maintain logs and critique responses to identify weaknesses.
Provide clear direction and assistance to visitors, guests, vendors, and employees, including during emergencies.
Assist building security with verification of visitor/employee access badges to prevent unauthorized entry.
Maintain surveillance and report any suspicious persons or packages.
Perform CPR/AED and basic first aid if required.
Requirements
Must possess F85/F89 FDNY Certificate of Fitness.
High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to prepare written reports/logs; computer skills may be required.
Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test required.
Maintain current active status of all required licenses while on duty.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle both routine and crisis situations calmly.
Intermediate computer skills to utilize wireless technology at client sites.
Neat, professional appearance and dependable attendance.
Read, understand, and clearly speak English; good vision (correctable).
Ability to work under high volumes of public interaction.
Job Details

Shifts: Morning and Overnight
Days: Flexible Monday – Sunday
Pay Range: $24.55 - $25.55 per hour
