The Center for Labor Research Studies at Florida International University is seeking adjunct lecturers to teach courses offered within the center's curriculum. Adjunct professors typically spend most of their time with students and must be flexible to fulfill several responsibilities. Responsibilities

Teaching graduate and undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise Developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards Planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions and assignments Grading assigned papers, quizzes and exams Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments and examinations Collaborating with colleagues on course curriculum Advising students on how to be successful in class Staying updated on innovations and changes within their course field Note:

This pool is open for the 2024-2025 academic year and is reviewed based on departmental needs. Primary Instructors Master's degree in education, Economics, Conflict Resolution, Labor and Employment Relations, Sociology or equivalent. Five years professional experience. Secondary Instructors and Course Assistants Bachelor's Degree in Education, Economics, Conflict Resolution, Labor and Employment Relations, Sociology or equivalent. Desired Qualifications

PhD in a related field, plus 5 years professional experience; or master's degree in a related field, plus 10 years professional experience in; or master's degree, plus Certificate in related field. Job Category
