Overview

You will design, develop, test, deploy, document, and enhance software in Linux environments. You will modernize system management infrastructure, improve reliability, and deliver clean, repeatable operations at scale. Responsibilities
Analyze user needs and translate them into software designs and performance targets Design, code, debug, and enhance services and tools in Linux and Unix Develop automation for system management infrastructure that supports HPC services Build and maintain CI and CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI Write Bash and Python to replace manual processes with resilient automation Create and execute test procedures. Apply TDD and BDD where appropriate Integrate existing software into new or modified operating environments Build REST and web services. Apply sound configuration management practices Design data models and queries for relational and non relational stores Use Spring and Kafka for orchestration and event driven workflows Evaluate queue systems and streaming patterns for throughput and reliability Document designs, APIs, tests, and operational runbooks in Confluence Review components for design adherence. Track defects and verify fixes Lead software efforts when needed. Set priorities. Delegate work. Ensure quality Recommend tools and processes that reduce cycle time and raise quality Minimum Qualifications

Master’s in Computer Science or related field with 5 years as a Software Engineer, or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field with 7 years as a Software Engineer, or 9 years as a Software Engineer on work of similar scope, type, and complexity
Required Skills
Strong Linux and Unix fundamentals. Confident on the CLI Bash scripting and Python development for automation Java development in Linux. Experience with J2EE and the Eclipse IDE Spring and Spring Boot microservices REST and web services implementation CI and CD concepts and tooling. Jenkins and GitLab CI Automated testing practices. TDD and BDD Configuration management discipline and source control with Git Data modeling and queries for relational and non relational databases Experience with big data processing and analytics workflows Orchestration and streaming with Kafka. Familiar with queue management systems Containerization with Docker Agile delivery practices. Jira for tracking. Confluence for documentation Desired Qualifications
Atlassian Suite, Jira and Confluence Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe Cloud based solutions and services in secure environments Experience leading multiple software teams and ensuring quality across releases Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. This range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
