Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Migration Architect opening for our client in Dallas, TX. Location:

Dallas, TX Duration:

12 months Duties

Lead design and implementation of end-to-end cloud data migration strategies (AWS primary; Azure, ICP optional).

Analyze legacy, on-prem, and cloud systems to define migration scope, dependencies, risks, and methodology.

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines; ensure data integrity, availability, and accuracy.

Create runbooks, validation scripts, rollback plans, and provide post-migration support.

Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, security teams, and stakeholders.

Guide teams in tool selection and migration approaches (rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, containerization).

Act as SME on AWS services, migration methodology, project WBS, risk, and MVP planning.

Skills

Cloud expertise (AWS required; Azure, hybrid experience).

Strong ETL, data pipeline, and migration tooling knowledge.

Proven experience in migration strategy and multi-cloud/hybrid architecture.

Ability to troubleshoot, optimize performance, and lead teams.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience

Extensive experience in enterprise data migration and cloud architecture projects.

Hands-on in mapping applications and data to AWS services.

Experience leading migration workshops and tailoring methodologies for client environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; or equivalent experience.
