Project Manager
for a 12-month contract with a client in Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181. Title: IT Project Manager Location: Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181- Hybrid Duration: 12-month Contract Pay Rate: $65-$70/hr on w2 Job Description: An IT Project Manager Mid is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and closing of information technology projects within an organization. They manage project teams, resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure that projects are completed successfully. Responsibilities may include: Developing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources. Leading project teams and managing project resources to achieve project goals. Monitoring project progress and performance against plan. Identifying and managing project risks and issues. Communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management. Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Managing vendor relationships and contracts as needed. Providing leadership and guidance to project team members. Conducting project meetings and reviews to track progress and make decisions. Managing project documentation and ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date. What you'll do: Oversee technical governance and scope of work Handle resource allocation and governance processes Monitor and control projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives Track and update KPIs regularly Ensure each resource is aligned to the right tasks/workstreams Support UAT testing and ensure proper execution Use Azure DevOps for tracking and reporting Preferred Experience Energy/Utility industry background strongly preferred Experience with Azure DevOps tools for project management Strong governance, monitoring, and control experience Prior success managing multiple portfolios/programs concurrently Certifications PMP certification required Education Bachelor's Degree Akkodis is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
