Onsite in Hamtramck, MI The Role:
The Vehicle Electrical Systems Manager leads the team responsible for manufacturing electrical systems at the vehicle assembly plant. The main goal is to support the plant in achieving electrical quality metrics such as EFTQ, DRR, and Warranty. The role involves leading efforts to produce defect-free electrical vehicles by executing the Electrical Bill of Operations and "building quality in station." Responsibilities: Lead an integrated technical team from Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Product Development to solve top quality problems and drive electrical defect resolution. Establish and maintain the Electrical Bill of Operations for the plant. Manage electrical quality processes for vehicle launches and steady-state production. Monitor and report electrical quality metrics regularly to plant leadership. Resolve electrical supplier quality and ergonomic issues, ensuring effective problem solving and supplier performance improvements. Develop and train electrical engineers. Model and promote core values and behaviors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 7+ years in electrical manufacturing processes Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems Strong analytical skills for complex problems Experience in production and quality roles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel 10% domestically and internationally Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience Vehicle program launch experience Electrical engineering background Additional Benefits:
