Ridgeland, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will work as a Part-Time Security Officer using our Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, gaining site experience across various industries. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will respond promptly to any situations that arise, communicate clearly and professionally, and work with your team to uphold Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Position Type : Part Time Pay Rate : $18.25 / Hour Job Schedule Wed 06:45 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 06:45 AM - 07:00 PM What You’ll Do Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns. Maintain detailed reports and logs of observations, incidents, and activities during patrols. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed. Remain alert to potential security-related risks and report any unusual activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Participate in training sessions and drills to remain prepared for emergency response situations. What We’re Looking For Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
