We are seeking an experienced and driven
Accounting Manager
to join a global manufacturing leader headquartered in the Western Suburbs. This high-visibility role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to transition from public accounting into a fast-paced industry environment with strong career development potential.
The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting technical accounting matters, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes and systems. This position offers exposure to leadership, a flexible hybrid schedule, and meaningful project work beyond day-to-day accounting.
Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial close
processes
Provide
technical accounting guidance
in accordance with US GAAP
Assist in the preparation and review of
SEC filings
(10-K, 10-Q, etc.), as applicable
Support
internal controls
and compliance activities, including SOX requirements
Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
Participate in
system upgrades
and process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA required
5+ years of progressive experience, including
public accounting (Big 4 or similar)
Strong understanding of
US GAAP
and technical accounting concepts
Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a
hybrid work environment
(2–3 days onsite)
