Overview We are seeking an experienced

Controller

for one of our clients’ divisions to join a fast-paced, high-growth organization. This role will work directly with the CFO and oversee all division-level accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in

Big 4 or public accounting , hands-on

industry general ledger experience , and proven

leadership of people and processes . This position offers high visibility, collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to impact financial strategy and operations at the division level. This range is provided by The Bolton Group. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the division’s financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies, maintaining fiduciary responsibility across all accounting processes.

Oversee month-end close, financial analysis, and reliability of reporting.

Partner closely with senior management, acting as both advisor and challenger on financial decisions.

Manage and develop a considerable large team.

Oversee banking, budgeting, pricing strategy, and accounting system utilization.

Conduct site visits to ensure financial oversight extends to operational performance.

Qualifications

8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience

Big 4/Public Accounting foundation

preferred

Prior

industry general ledger/month-end close

experience in construction, real estate, wholesale or a related field

Demonstrated

team leadership experience —must have managed people and processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.

Additional Notes

This role is

100% in-office (Monday–Friday) .

Candidates with

homebuilding or construction-related industry experience

are highly preferred.

This opportunity may also be available for lighter profiles.
