HUB continues to grow our Private Equity and M&A Advisory Practice and is looking for a Sr. Associate, Private Equity and M&A Advisory to provide project management and due diligence support on proposed HUB client acquisitions. This is an ideal role for a well-organized, detail oriented, resourceful professional with broad Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience. Primary Responsibilities
Manages the Commercial Insurance due diligence process from start to finish, including the communication with internal subject matter experts, clients (private equity deal team), target company c-suite executives, and other third-party deal advisors.
Prepares and presents reports on the Commercial Insurance and risk management programs of the proposed acquisition
Assembles relevant diligence information and analyze the quality of the insurance program commenting on coverage adequacy, uncovered risks, pricing as well as providing risk management recommendations.
Collects and compiles ongoing data uploads.
Works on multiple projects simultaneously
Works with specialized coverage and industry experts within HUB across North America to provide a written evaluation and recommendations to the potential buyer of the Target Company.
Reviews and analyzes financial statements of companies targeted for acquisition.
Provides assistance in the ongoing relationship management of our private equity clients
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
5 - 10 years of Commercial Insurance due diligence experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Working knowledge of private equity and M&A market trends
Ability to think critically, commercially, strategically and practically
Experience working independently and as part of large, cross-functional teams
Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Strong organizational, time and client management skills
Resourceful self-starter who can work independently
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Willingness to adopt a flexible time schedule and work style to meet the needs of a highly acquisitive organization
Availability to travel periodically as needed
Join Our Team Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
