will work closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and collaboratively with team members across the organization. Vice President, Finance
will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and will work alongside a team of four accounting professionals focused on accounting administration and loan accounting. While this role does not include direct staff management, it plays a key part in the finance function, with a focus on planning, financial reporting, performance analysis, compliance, and risk management. This position has leadership development opportunities within our growing organization. Responsibilities Prepare complex consolidating financial statements and related analysis for review Manage net assets, including releases and equity investments Collaborate with program managers to oversee and manage program-related expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and funding requirements Prepare and manage compliance reporting, including New Markets Tax Credit reporting Assist the CAO with the annual budget, audit, and board materials Assist with debt management and covenants Assist with cash flow projections and related data and treasury management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (required) CPA license (required) Minimum of five years of experience in public accounting (strongly desired) Proven experience with complex nonprofit financials and consolidation (required) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong command of Microsoft Office tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders Understanding of CDFI operations or community development finance (strong asset) Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and mission-driven work Salary Range Invest Detroit offers a competitive salary range of $120,000–$130,000 for the
