Accounting Support Specialist
to join our team. As part of our financial team, you will play a vital role in assisting the Chief Financial Administrator with financial analysis, reporting, and accounting support for various projects within our organization. If you have a background in accounting and are passionate about ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes, we'd love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial data and prepare detailed financial reports. Maintain records of liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end activities, including journal entries, payroll accruals, and account reconciliations. Manage daily cash transactions and reconcile bank statements. Support inventory control, route management, and invoicing for our laundry division. Collaborate with management, operations, and corporate teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost projections. Assist with the development of annual budgets and consolidated corporate budgets. Develop systems to track management performance and contribute to incentive pay programs. Prepare detailed income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections for both new and existing projects. Perform regular bank reconciliations and analyze monthly financial variances. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable when necessary. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (including preparation and processing of monthly journal entries, Payroll Accrual, fixed asset liabilities, bank reconciliations and financial reports analysis). Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and Word Processing software. Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and trigonometry to practical situations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and solve practical problems. Professionalism and dependability; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willing to work on site (Mission Valley, San Diego) when needed (Hybrid schedule will be granted after six months, depending on learning progress.) Seniority level
