Fully Remote Tax Manager – Small Business & Strategy Focused Accounting & Advisory | $100-130K+ Base (DOE) + Bonus + Long-Term Growth | Fully Flexible Schedule | 100% Remote About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic, experienced Tax Manager who thrives in a leadership role and is excited to mentor others, drive strategy, and help clients protect and grow their wealth. You’ll join a collaborative remote team and be empowered to shape firm-wide processes and client experience. What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a fully remote tax team (currently 4 staff) Review complex business (1065s, 1120s) and individual returns (1040s with passthroughs, investments, etc.) Deliver customized tax strategy, planning, and consulting to small business clients Guide technical development and communication skills of your team Partner with leadership to refine pricing, workflow, and service delivery Help shape the firm’s future as part of its strategic leadership team Who You Are
A seasoned tax pro with 8+ years in public accounting You’ve reviewed returns, managed teams, and advised clients directly You’re tech-savvy and excited about the role of AI and cloud-based tools You’re collaborative, direct, and coachable—with a desire to grow into future firm leadership You hold a CPA or EA license You’ve worked remotely or run your own practice and love mentoring others Bonus Points For
Experience serving clients in the wellness center, real estate, or professional service industries Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QBO, or Xero Background in pricing, billing, and business development strategy Passion for process improvement and systems optimization Why You’ll Love It Here
