Exciting opportunity for a diligent, motivated, highly detailed, and reliable
Assistant Controller
to support a dynamic new investment fund. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the management company, funds, and affiliated entities. Knowledge and exposure to partnership accounting ideal as well as strong understanding of complex capital structures and limited partner agreements. Responsibilities
Coordinate preparation of all quarterly/annual financial statements and footnotes Monthly account reconciliations Monitor and manage cash, payroll, and accounts payable Prepare detailed schedules of partners’ capital for all the entities Monitor budget to actuals and provide analytics on performance Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and workpapers Assemble all information necessary to call capital from partners and co-investors and prepare the capital call notice to limited partners Manage fund quarterly performance update and other reporting disclosures Respond to all limited partner requests for financial information Desired Skills and Experience
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive audit and/or accounting experience CPA required Public accounting experience preferred Prior fund management or private equity audit experience preferred Excellent organizational and research skills Superior attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work independently on multiple projects and produce accurate results within a compressed time frame Strong communication skills and ability to work with and establish strong relationships internal and external contacts Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills Seniority level
