This position plays a crucial role in the success of our retail operations. As a Customer Service Associate, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and providing them with accurate information about Sherwin-Williams products. You will recommend the best solutions to their inquiries and swiftly address any customer concerns, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
You'll also be responsible for staying informed about the latest product features and upholding the high-quality visual standards of our store. Achieving excellent customer service while meeting the store's sales goals will be a key focus of your role.
This position includes interaction with customers and access to cash and other payment methods, as well as store merchandise. Therefore, a review of criminal history is necessary to protect our customers and the overall integrity of the business.
The selected candidate will primarily work at Store #5187, located at: 629 Plank Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065, and may be required to work at stores within a 30-mile radius. Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Maintain precise work order files and formulas. Retrieve products from sales floor or warehouse as required. Mix and tint products based on customer specifications. Restock shelves and set up attractive displays. Maintain cleanliness of store equipment. Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks. Help with deliveries as needed. Keep assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing. Stay knowledgeable about product offerings and options. Adhere to inventory control procedures. Provide suggestions to enhance sales performance. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Must be authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship. Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability to work all scheduled hours including evenings and weekends. If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have a meets expectations (3) rating on the last performance appraisal and completed all required HR eLearning courses. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service. Experience with paint and paint-related products. Proficiency in operating tinting and mixing equipment. Ability to communicate in more than one language. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
