The Senior Manager, Enterprise & Corporate Accounting will support day-to-day accounting processes, budgeting and forecasting, and enterprise reporting for the sports vertical within TFG. The role will also drive strategic initiatives across the enterprise, ensure financial data is recorded accurately and timely in accordance with accounting standards and company policy, and review internal controls to protect company assets. It may involve acquisition and complex transaction accounting related to new investments, and sponsorship, direction, coordination, and support of other ad hoc accounting projects with a focus on data governance and enterprise tax strategies. The Senior Manager will develop and deliver complete and accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. What We Need From You
Bachelor’s Degree (Four-year college or university) 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Public accounting experience; industry experience preferred but not required Previous managerial experience and related month-end close experience and enterprise reporting experience Ability to lead without authority by leveraging relationship-building across functions and stakeholders Apply authoritative accounting guidance (US GAAP, IFRS, country-specific GAAP) to complex accounting transactions and report findings to management Agility in managing multiple projects and deliverables in parallel Strong financial thinking, business acumen, and professional curiosity to innovate and improve systems and processes Assist in defining and documenting control processes and procedures Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvement opportunities Knowledge of methods to improve operational performance and stakeholder-focused service Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong planning and organizational skills; high accuracy in processing financial data Ability to create clear and accurate financial reports and understand monthly financials and variance analysis Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and quickly learn new applications Ability to lead and mentor junior staff Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Responsibilities
Responsible for acquisition and complex transaction accounting related to new investments across the sports vertical Develop a transition plan to onboard ongoing accounting and finance operations related to the sports vertical Lead initial and ongoing consolidation workstreams for the sports vertical Sponsor, direct, coordinate, and support other ad hoc accounting projects with a focus on data governance and enterprise tax strategies Execute a monthly close of the general ledger for the sports vertical, including maintenance of the close schedule Prepare and review journal entries, including recurring entries, for monthly close Reconcile balance sheet accounts (including intercompany balances) and resolve reconciling items promptly Maintain well-documented workpapers for journal entries and reconciliations; ensure reasonableness of balance sheet and income statement accounts Support creation and capture of annual and multi-year budgets (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) within the ERP Compare actual results to budgeted results and provide variance explanations monthly Analyze monthly and year-end financial data for accuracy and compliance with standards Develop, review, and distribute standard recurring financial reports to business units Translate and communicate results to stakeholders; provide monthly financial reporting package to internal and external customers; support shareholder reporting initiatives Lead system implementations related to the sports vertical; drive adoption of new technologies Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and regulatory policies Coordinate with external auditors; review schedules to support tax preparation Interpret FASB or other accounting pronouncements; perform or delegate analysis and research and provide recommendations Review internal controls to protect company assets; improve processes and procedures Set an example for others and coach peers to improve productivity and performance Collaborate with leaders to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies Physical and Environmental Requirements
