Recruiting Manager specializing in Corporate Finance & Accounting
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and accounting operations for a portfolio of real estate investments. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance while also supporting strategic growth initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with leaders across accounting, portfolio management, and asset management, and gain exposure to a variety of complex real estate structures. Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with external financial reporting and regulatory compliance, including public filings. Partner with auditors to support quarterly and annual reviews. Monitor cash flow, capital requirements, and covenant compliance across assigned portfolios. Review payables and ensure proper coding of expenses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate portfolio results. Take part in department-wide initiatives and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Provide backup support for other portfolios and mentor junior team members when needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA license or active progress toward certification is strongly preferred. 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within real estate, REITs, or public accounting. Experience with real estate accounting systems; Yardi is preferred. Advanced Excel proficiency and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with financial reporting platforms (Workiva or similar) is a plus. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
